The Robert Machemer Foundation is a not-for-profit organization created by a group of former trainees and colleagues to honor the father of modern vitreoretinal surgery, our mentor, our colleague and our friend.

 

We support education, research and training to advance techniques and cures to treat diseases in the vitreoretinal surgical field. We do this through fund-raising and an annual research scholarship to support research activities of a retina fellow.
